The first rule is the simplest, and yet the easiest to break;
STAY OUT OF THE STREET (and YES this includes the bike lanes)
*PLEASE* observe this rule; breaking it puts everyone else's opportunity to enjoy the rally in danger.

POLES: the city has issued a recent code restricting flag poles; metal AND PLASTIC flag poles are prohibited (including PVC pipe, so please leave these at home)

Wood poles are fine, as long as they are not more than 3/4" inch in diameter, with blunted ends (skinny broom/mop sticks are ideal)

Fiberglass is technically unlisted, so fishing poles and similar thin fiberglass poles with blunted ends are usually not a problem.

NOISE: loudspeakers/PA systems are prohibited, so please...be cautious of your volume levels, and let's be respectful of our neighbors.
